1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They serve various purposes: remembering preferences, understanding usage patterns, and improving your experience.
2. Our approach
BioQuant IQ follows a privacy-first approach. We minimise cookie use and rely on Plausible Analytics, which operates without cookies entirely. The only cookie we set is to remember your consent choice.
3. Cookies we use
We do not use any third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or social-media cookies.
4. Analytics without cookies
We use Plausible Analytics, an EU-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across websites. It provides aggregate data only (page views, referrer, country, device type). No IP addresses are stored or processed.
5. Your choices
When you first visit our site, a consent banner lets you accept or decline optional cookies. Since our only cookie is strictly necessary (consent storage), declining means we simply do not store your preference and the banner will appear on your next visit.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings:
- Block all cookies or specific cookies
- Delete cookies that have already been set
- Allow cookies on a per-site basis
Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect site functionality.
6. Third-party services
We load fonts from Google Fonts. Google Fonts may collect limited technical data (IP address) when fonts are delivered. Google states this data is not combined with other Google services. See Google Fonts Privacy FAQ.
7. Legal basis
Under the Swiss FADP and EU GDPR/ePrivacy Directive:
- Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent (Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive).
- Optional cookies (if introduced in future) will require explicit opt-in consent before activation.
8. Changes
We may update this policy if we change our cookie practices. Updates will be reflected on this page with a new date.
