2. Scope
This policy applies to all personal data processed through the website bioquantiq.ch, including sub-domains arena.bioquantiq.ch and echo.bioquantiq.ch. It is designed to comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nDSG, effective 1 September 2023) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation 2016/679).
3. Data we collect
3.1 Data you provide
When you use our contact form or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name and email address. These are processed solely to respond to your inquiry or deliver the content you requested.
3.2 Data collected automatically
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service hosted in the EU. Plausible does not collect personal data, does not use cookies, and does not track users across sites. Aggregate page-view data (page URL, referrer, country, device type, browser) is collected without identifying individuals. No IP addresses are stored.
3.3 Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie to remember your cookie-consent choice. No third-party tracking cookies are set. See our Cookies for details.
4. Legal basis for processing
Under GDPR Article 6 and the Swiss FADP:
- Consent — for newsletter subscriptions and optional analytics cookies.
- Legitimate interest — for aggregate, non-identifying website analytics that help us improve content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Pre-contractual measures — for responding to contact-form inquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. Data may be shared with:
- Netlify Inc. (USA) — website hosting and form processing. Netlify complies with DPF (Data Privacy Framework).
- Plausible Insights OÜ (Estonia, EU) — privacy-friendly analytics. No personal data is transferred.
Where data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA, we ensure adequate safeguards exist (adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or the Data Privacy Framework).
6. Data retention
- Contact-form submissions: retained for up to 3 years for business communications.
- Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics: aggregated, non-personal data retained indefinitely.
7. Your rights
Under the FADP and GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
In Switzerland, the supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). In the EU, you may contact the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
To exercise any right, contact us at [email protected].
8. Security
We use HTTPS encryption, strict security headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options), and limit data access to authorised personnel. We regularly review our security measures.
9. Children
Our services are designed for business professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 16. If you believe a minor’s data has been submitted, contact us for immediate deletion.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
